Idioms

English is so full of permanence,
I joke, but in truth, in America,
Everything is and I am until
Eternity. When is the death of
Time? We rely on tropes to express
The fleeting, passing moments.
By nature, we are fickle. By nature,
We are the small twitch of a clock
Making circles around the sun.
To be, is always and forever, unless
It isn’t.
